There are a few things that I spend extra money on to make my life better. We all do this. Somethings are beneficial other things are just plain guilty pleasures and not necessarily needs. I try to justify purchases as both sometimes.
Clean, safe, good tasting water to me is a necessity.
Here in Alexandria our tap water is full of unpleasant tasting additives that leaves a residue on my fixtures. I do not drink or cook with this water. I also use a shower head filter to help remove the impurities from reaching my body.
The monthly delivery cost for three 5-gallon jugs and a case of water bottles (all of which get recycled) costs me less than $1 a day. It tastes like home, Maine. I remember the Poland Spring jingle as a kid, “Poland Spring, what it means to be from Maine.”
I am grateful to have access to this available resource. Clean water is something I never take for granted.
