My hair has been seriously abused this summer. I’ve had a few too many hair processes with high lights, low lights and color applications. Add the summer sun, chlorine and daily maintenance of shampooing, brushing and up-dos… my strands have had enough already!
What to do? I’m not ready to cut it all off, yet anyway, so I’m feeding my hair with protein and conditioning treatments. Today I’m using some expiring Greek yogurt from my refrigerator as a mask, total cost – maybe fifty cents.
I’ve applied a layer of yogurt and tucked my hair into my shower cap and let it set for about an hour. I’ll wash with sulfate free shampoo, condition and then apply healing oils like Moroccan and air dry. What other ways do you add protein to your mane?
