2017 has started off with a bang in our 21 Day Fix Meal Planning 101 group. We have had a surge of new members join us and more everyday lining up at the door. We know people want to better their lives by making healthier choices, want to lose weight, and get into better shape. These are the “whats” – what are we doing? How are we doing it? By using our containers, choosing clean, healthy ingredients to eat, drinking water and pushing play. When? Daily, at least 80% of the time we are complying with the program guide making positive choices.
Where it matters is the WHY? Why are you making these choices is where it counts the most and what keeps you coming back after a cheat meal or missed workout. It’s what’s in your heart and soul that brought you to this program.
My Why? I got married, got complacent and stopped caring about eating healthy or working out. I slowly stopped fitting into my clothes and started to see my body change. Anyone over 40 knows that gravity is not your friend. Mentally, I needed the structure otherwise my ADD takes over and I get nothing accomplished. I now have a routine where I wake up, push play, drink Shakeology and follow through with healthy eating. It works for me and the days I do not have that structure I tend to go off the rails. It’s why I come back. I love my clothes again, I love my routine and now as a coach, I love paying it forward to others and helping them find success like I have.
What’s your Why? Maybe it’s health related, you have to lose weight because your doctor recommended you do so. Or you’re tired all the time and need more energy for your kids. Or pushing play gives you endorphins and makes your happier. Maybe you have an event coming up like a wedding or dream vacation to want to look good for? Tap into your emotions and find your why. Let’s use May, full of warmth, new blossoms and hope, as our month to connect with our WHY – I can tell you everyone has one reason in common – it’s because we matter and we are important in this life.
