The holidays can be a challenging time to stay on track with good nutrition and fitness. Many people end the year with indulgence and start their new year sluggish and unhappy with their health and habits. It’s easier to stay on track and not give in too much if you are surrounded with others committed in a holiday challenge group.
Staying focused and active during the holidays is easier when you do it with friends and support! Our November and December Challenge Group called “Get Yourself Off the Shelf” will be fast paced months filled with fun, fitness, holiday food tips, games, accountability, and support. Don’t put your goals on the shelf during the hustle of the holidays – end the year strong and fit!
What are Challenge Groups?
A challenge group (often referred to as Accountability/Support groups) are smaller, more personal groups of people who are checking in each day with their fitness / food / water / motivation / inspiration / progress / challenges and general life
It is an online community of support where friendships are made and people notice when you’re gone. Being a part of these groups has kept me on track for the past 36 months – in the past it was so easy to quit on myself. But everyday when I wake up there is always someone who pressed play first, posted a greeting or checked in. They inspire me and motivate me – even on days I really don’t feel like showing up.
Earlier this week my husband was giving me some praise for working out alone. He said, “I’m so proud of you for working out by yourself, that isn’t easy to do.”
I said, “I don’t workout alone, I have my fitness friends around me everyday.”
If you’re not in a challenge group, you’re missing out. I’m not sure I would show up by myself if I didn’t have my team to check in with every day. The next weeks are critical that I have the support from my fitness friends with our holiday challenge group.
